CHANGE OF ADDRESS
Yes – through the grace of God expressed in the generosity of his people we now have sufficient financial support to leave for Mongolia. We have our flight booked for Monday 31 October.
Our visas have been approved – we are just waiting for them to arrive in Australia. We have also organised our accommodation in Ulaan Baatar. We are working hard on fixing our place before we leave.

TEAM TERRIFIC
Thanks to all who are praying for us and the work of Jesus in Mongolia. Thanks for all those who in so many ways have supported us financially and practically. We are so grateful to God for the support of all our friends and churches – especially our home church. We are thankful to  Pioneers and other missionaries who have helped us so much over the recent months. We feel privileged to be in partnership with brothers and sisters in Christ who have a passion for the work of the gospel in Mongolia. We would still appreciate anyone who would like to partner with us in any way for this work.

ACTIVITY
We enjoyed two weeks in Melbourne doing pre language learning at Wycliffe. It was a great course and really helpful. We are also doing a short TESOL course. We have been for our 55 year service – eyes, teeth, ears, and other parts. We have come through so far basically
intact. We are fixing up our house and sorting through 30 years of accumulation (big word for junk!!). We have some personal effects to package and send separately to Mongolia. We are stocking up on cold weather clothing. We also hope to get around to all of the churches that
we have had contact with in the last few months just to catch up with folk. We continue to learn a little Mongolian – emphasis on the little not the Mongolian!

FAREWELL AND NEXT STEP
Our home church, Nepean Valley Church, is organising a farewell and commissioning service, and afternoon tea, on Saturday 29 October at 2pm. It would be a real thrill for us if you could join us. If you are able to come please let us know by letter, phone or email by 21 October 2005. This service will be held at St Paul's Anglican Church, corner of Barker and Oxford Streets, Cambridge Park  We then fly out a few days later. When we arrive in Mongolia we will be living in Ulaan Baatar and studying language and culture.

PRAYER MATTERS
We thank God for:

  • His provision of prayer, practical and financial support
  • The work, support and encouragement of our support team, our Mongolian Pioneers team, the local Pioneers team, our church and all our friends and churches
  • Time to get ready
  • His patient guidance along the way

  • We seek prayer for:
  • our visas arriving on time
  • the practical aspects of packing and moving
  • ourselves and our family as we deal with parting
  • learning a new language
  • opportunities to live out and speak the gospel in Mongolia
  • the work of Jesus in Mongolia
